Watford welcomes Arsenal at the Vicarage Road in a game from the fifth round of the Premier League

Watford welcomes Arsenal at the Vicarage Road in a game from the fifth round of the Premier League. It’s going to be an official debut for Watford’s new manager Quique Sanchez Flores. For him this is a second stint as a manager of the Hornets. Meanwhile Arsenal will try to achieve their third win since the start of the season.

Quique Sanchez Flores returns to Vicarage Road for a second time. He replaced his countryman Javi Gracia, who was sacked because of Watford’s poor performance since the start of the season. Right now the Hornets are at the bottom of the table, having won just one point in four games played.

Javi Gracia did a very good job with the team last season, but now the club’s board chose to let him go. This happened after the previous round, when Watford won their first point for the season after a draw during the visit to Newcastle United. Despite of winning a point at the St. James’ Park, Gracia was sacked by the board.

In the same time Arsenal are looking to enjoy a win after two consecutive games without winning. In their last two matches the Gunners suffered a loss against Liverpool at the Anfield and made a draw in the derby with Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates. Right now the Londoners are fifth in the standings with 7 points, being five points behind the leader Liverpool.

Arsenal’s manager Unai Emery is aware that this is his second season at the Emirates, so the expectations for his work are going to be even higher. Another season without a trophy could create some problems for the Spanish coach.

The injured Troy Deeney is missing the game for the hosts, while Konstantinos Mavropanos and Hector Bellerin are unavaliable for Arsenal.

Can Quique Sanchez Flores debut with a positive result for Watford against Arsenal? We should wait and see what the answer is.
