Manchester United faces Partizan at the Old Trafford in a game from Group L of Europa League

Manchester United faces Partizan at the Old Trafford in a game from Group L of Europa League. Right now the Red Devils are leaders in this group and they know that a win over the Serbian team would allow them to stay at top, despite of the result between Astana and AZ in the other match. Let’s take a look.

With two wins and one draw from two matches played, United are leading this group with 7 points won so far. The English giants have 2 points advantage in front of the second AZ. Partizan are currently third with 4 points won so far.

Two weeks ago Manchester United travelled to Belgrade to face Partizan at the Stadion Partizana in the Serbian capital. It was a competitive game, which the Red Devils managed to win with a well executed penalty kick by Anthony Martial two minutes before the halftime break. It was not easy for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, but even with a lot of young and backup players on the pitch, they managed to win.

Keeping faithful to what he usually does in Europa League, we expect that Solskjaer is going to once again make some experiments with his starting line-up. During the weekend the Red Devils suffered a dissapointing defeat, though. They visited AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Road and got beaten with 0-1. Joshua King scored the only goal in the game in the last minute of the first halftime. This loss kept United at 10th place in the Premier League standings.

Meanwhile Partizan warmed up for this Europa League fixture with a confident 4-0 win over Vojvodina in the Serbian Super Liga. Bibras Natcho scored a brace for the Grobari, while Sasa Zdjelar and Umar Sadiq also scored.

We expect a difficult night for Partizan at the Old Trafford on Thursday. Manchester United can do this, even with their “B” team on the pitch. The moment is not easy for the Red Devils, but we think they will do pretty well against the Serbians.
