Italy faces England at the Wembley Stadium

Italy faces England at the Wembley Stadium in the final of Euro 2020 on Sunday. The Azzurri will try to win their second European cup so far while the Three Lions are aiming to become European champions for a first time in their history.

Italy reached the final of the Euros after a 1-1 draw with Spain and a win after penalties. Federico Chiesa scored in the regular time against La Roja, but Alvaro Morata equalised for the Spaniards. During the penalties Gianluigi Donnarumma saved Alvaro Morata’s penalty which allowed the Squadra to take the win.

Some people might say that Italy played their worst game at the Euros against Spain. It’s true that they didn’t have the ball as much as in the previous matches, but at the same time we must say that Roberto Mancini’s team played a very solid tactical game against La Roja. They knew that Spain would have the ball more, but they found a way to adapt to this and neutralise the Spaniards.

England reached the final of the European Championship for a first time in their history. The Brits are trying to win their first international trophy since their World Cup triumph in 1966. Now the fans finally see it happening, but one final step must be made – and it won’t be easy against Italy.

England were a goal behind against Denmark on Wednesday, but the Danish captain Simon Kjaer scored himself an own goal after a cross made by Bukayo Saka. The conclusion of the game came in the injury time when the captain Harry Kane scored the winner for England.

That’s our preview for the Euro 2020 final between Italy and England at the Wembley. Surely the Three Lions will have the advantage to play at home here, but the Azzurri are not a team which feels worried of such a thing. It’s going to be a brilliant game.
